Blyss - Diffs Lucky Day

I know this is a reach cause we’re all huge Lifehouse fans here but I can’t find anymore of the Blyss EP online. All sold out. Who knows how long it’ll take for a person to put one up! If anyone is willing to sell their copy of Blyss’s - Diff’s Lucky Day EP. I’m here! Thanks

Hey! I just want to let you know that Jason did say he will be selling the vinyl of DLD. He had copies of them at the concert I was at. $100 sadly. And that only got you 11 out of the original 12 tracks. He did say he will also be doing a deluxe digital release with bonus tracks though.

Hope this helps! And if you still want that CD….good luck! I was lucky enough to find it on eBay back in 2002/2003ish. Just got Jason to sign it.

Interesting… any idea what track was missing? I wonder if it was a licensing thing with Dreamworks… some songs were more heavily reworked than others for NNF, but none were identical to the DLD release (not even Fool / WWWT / Fairytales Sandcastles).

Revolution Cry. Last song on the og DLD album.

I checked BMI SongView and both Revolution Cry and Crown of Scars are both listed as Jason/BMI/G Schills. I don’t think Dreamworks would have a stake in it since it was before they got signed IIRC.

I’ve noticed a few comments on IG about the missing track following yesterdays announcement but no response so far.

And since Crown of Scars is on there, Revolution Cry should be. I noticed no one replied to that question either.

He just commented on someone’s comment about RC missing from the vinyl. Not enough room… it’ll be up on the Lifehouse Spotify page once released.

I still think for $100, a double LP could’ve been made to fit the whole record. If money was an issue, a Kickstarter-type approach should’ve been taken. Fans have waited for something like this for decades and to get something incomplete for such an exorbitant price feels very exploitative.

Sorry, I won’t keep brining this up. Between this and some of the merch at the shows, it’s just putting a really bad taste in my mouth.

That was me he was replying to lol. Was gong to post today on here.

Yeah, I get it. Like I said before, I really hope there are other factors as to why the price is so high, why he doesn’t release a CD version, why he doesn’t really want to do something special with this release since like you said, as fans we all wanted this so bad for so many years. And no need to be sorry. I say vent away. This concerns and kind of “urks” me too.

This could have been an amazing release. A double LP like you mentioned would have been better since then you could have added more tracks, still $100 would have been steep regardless IMO. A kickstarter for a CD release or a Time Machine TIMED- exclusive (1 per account) have preorders for a month and only make what people ordered would have been the best option IMO.

It is a shame we kind of just have to accept that is what Jason wants to do. It is better than nothing. I really hope he releases the digital deluxe on all streaming platforms. I don’t have Spotify and prefer iTunes. But if this release is anything to go by, it will only be on Spotify to add more salt on my wound because then I can’t get those songs. And I guess he isn’t doing the rest of the album on the Time Machine. Sigh.

Just went on sale for $75 + $7 shipping. Still high but better. Sucks that he charged you more in person though.

Placed my order against my better judgement. It’ll be cool memorabilia from the early days.

I commented my slight discouragement and they are now offering a $25 discount code (already got mine) on their store for anyone who paid $100 with proof of a picture of the bought vinyl. So, better than nothing. They didn’t have to do that. As long as this doesn’t expire, I can save it when they have another album or vinyl (=

Should I make a thread about where to go if they bought the $100 vinyl and would like a $25 discount code?

Jason is more than welcome to do whatever he pleases with his music. If he wants to dig a 26 year old CD up out of a bin somewhere and “remaster” it (which I would love to hear what improvements were made), he can. If he wants to charge us $82 (with shipping) for a single (“incomplete”) LP, he can as well. do we have to pay it? HELLLL NO. I still have a CD-R (and FLAC rip) of the original and have always listened to that and will continue to without paying this exorbitant price.

”Revolution Cry” was one of the best songs from that Blyss CD!!! How dare he leave it off!!! This should have been a 2LP priced around $50 with shipping. but thats just one fan’s opinion.

Yeah that would be a great idea! If you want to write that up, I’ll post it on the blog too.

Couldn’t agree more. My opinion on this was much the same but also just my opinion. I’m sure enough people will purchase it and if he feels it’s worth what he’s asking for an incomplete remaster, that’s his choice. Better than nothing I guess.

I hope this hits Qobuz or some other store so I can own the whole lot of it in FLAC.

On a side note… part of me wonders if they stalk these boards occasionally. It isn’t the first time we’ve posted a critique before a change was made (Time Machine!). Probably just a coincidence but it does make me wonder.

Yup, no one was saying that Jason shouldn’t be allowed to do whatever he pleases. I am pretty sure I mentioned that he didn’t have to do any of this at all, but he did and I am beyond grateful.

As fans we can either purchase or not purchase the items in which he chooses to sell however he chooses to sell them. We can still have opinions and dislikes and should feel comfortable to either debate or share our opinions even if the band occasionally goes on here lol

But yes, I agree Revolution Cry should have been put on.

Were you on the old SCC forums? Your name sounds familiar.

Posted! Do what you want with it lol

Awesome, thanks! Just posted about it here.

Looks great! “Do what you want with it” I say and BOOM, you ran with it. A nicely written blog. It sounds so official as compared to how I would type it up!

lol I was around back then, fond memories. Remember Koen (I think I butchered that name)?

I also wanted to add that I dove into that eBay seller that has listed the ‘Bliss’ spelling of DLD and some of the feedback were not good. Apparently the seller ships some of the $900+ items in essentially a baggie. No padding. Nothing. So the items would arrive damaged. There is NO WAY I would even spend $200 for them to treat my expensive item like that.
