Pretty good track. The mix is definitely better but I donāt notice any big changes. He did axe the line āgo and give it another tryā at the end of the chorus in favor of ācause youāre dreaming of an open skyā.

The produced version of Butterflies & Parachutes is here!! This song joins four others that I can think of in the special category of ādemoes weāve heard for a long time that were reproduced and included on an official albumā, joining Storm, Goodbye, Wish, and Along the Way. Thoughts on the new version?
I like the backing vocals in the chorus, some of the Ćz-esque flourishes throughout, and new little melodies that he included, but the demo had a slightly more laid back sound than this new one in my opinion. Will take a moment to get used to

Whatās everyone thoughts on this version of Everything? I really like this one.
Itās quite unique in a sense of being different compared to previous live, in-studio versions of Everything yet still have the same mystery, larger-than-life vibe the song has. Although Iād prefer if Jason voice didnāt use autotune during the climax. I mean I get how it may fits this version, but Iād still prefer if itās clean.

I like it! The finaleās drums being similar to the rest of the song maybe isnāt what I wouldāve chosen, but I agree that the vibe overall is still very large and mysterious and awesome. And this is the first acoustic version of the song thatās ever been recorded as far as I know ā pretty cool:)

So what do people here think about the reworked Eighties? Had high hopes for this, as Eighties has been one of my absolute fav of Lifehouse collection of b-sides.
I really really love it. I love this version much more than I loved the reworked Everything if that make sense. Tbh, I think Eighties might be my most fav of newer version of old songs Jason did - Everything, Wash, Butterflies & Parachutes, etc.
I just loved the small details of this new version brings. The piano bring a fresh flavour and subtlety to the song. And that vocal performance,oh wow . I was worried Jason wouldnāt be able to replicate the original, but here he brought the same vulnerable tone but somehow I feel more āhopeā undertone in the new version.
Jason also used the same echo effect he been using before this and I liked the ambiance it brings.
Oh, curious on why All of My Life is put together with the single. A new perspective now that heās a father? Or just because.
