I’ve been wondering if anyone here has gone to any of these shows? I was lucky enough to have been able to attend the show in Madison, Wisconsin, last April. Best night of my life. I went with my parents and my boyfriend (whom I met because he recognized my O2S T shirt). I never got to see Lifehouse live because I became a fan too late, but this solo show was all that I’m asking for (bad pun, I know) and more. It was so surreal to walk into this tiny venue and hear Chucky Blondin and Little Ocean playing on the speakers in a public place. He played a snippet of Only One in a medley right after the opener SIB and I couldn’t believe it. Only One was the one song I had always wished to hear live, my very favorite. He had teased it on Instagram but I didn’t think he’d actually play it. I’m not one to cry usually but my cheeks were quite damp. Then he transitioned into Easier to Be and it was so beautiful and perfect. The medley finished off with Empty Space and it was incredible. All the rest of the songs were fantastic of course. And there was plenty of banter. Jason and Steve threw many a cheese stick into the crowd :D. After the show I remember that ØZWALD’s Beatles covers were playing on the speakers. I got a Midwest tour signed poster, signed A Likely Story vinyl, and a Jason Wade t-shirt. And it came with a free For Polly Anna cassette they were giving away to make room in their garage. (Now I have FPA on tape, CD, and vinyl since I won the Time Machine “Epic Vinyl/CD giveaway” a couple months ago :D) Overall this experience is one that I think could never be topped except by another Jason Wade show. I just hope he comes somewhere closer to where I live! But it was honestly definitely worth the ten hours of travel to get there!!!
Hey @peppermint, long time no see you here. How’s things?
That was a great read. Glad to see you had best time of your life there. I too wished I can join one, but too bad I’m on the other side of the world i.e. Malaysia. I was close to go to the Singapore one last year but life happened, oh well. That said, I still very much enjoy the live performances I found on YouTube. Not the real deal, of course, but it’s close
Love this, @peppermint – so glad you got to see Jason live. Lifehouse may or may not tour as a group, but the songs are certainly alive!
I was lucky enough to get to see J and Steve in Charlotte, North Carolina in August 2024. I actually ‘won’ my ticket via a little instagram contest Jason hosted on his page, so despite living in Toronto I clearly couldn’t say no at that point. Drove down and it was perhaps the most memorable nights of the year for me.
I remember during the Come Back Down / All In All Stanley Climbfall / Spin medley, closing my eyes and hearing the crowd sing. Not You and Me, but the verses to All In All, a deep cut off a twenty-year-old album. To hear people out there singing along to songs I grew up with on my own, listening to on the bus all through school, was a lot to bear. Wept happy tears during that show haha.
