Very cool idea! I’d be interested in the old interviews. Lots of history there. I have most, if not all of the b-sides/live that used to be hosted there.
Well it’s not going to be that easy because I was noticing that most of the Live shows aren’t even the ones we already have maybe Cleveland OH and 1 other but the only one I can think of is that 2002 new Zealand show the rest including that one is lost but if we dig deeper then before we could manage this.
I would be down! I bought off eBay some 2001/2002 VHS Lifehouse live performances. And as luck would have it the post office is taking their time delivering it to me. What I will do is see what’s on them and try to transfer them to digital if there is anything worth transferring. I just don’t have a device currently that’s able to do that. Any suggestions?
I bought one of these USB/RCA devices to transfer some of my wife’s childhood home videos on VHS. It does work but it required an older PC and a VCR of course. Maybe you can find something that works with newer setups.
Happy to help if you’re comfortable mailing them to me to digitize them.
I’ll look and see how we can setup a members-only (gotta fend off the bots and all) page/repository like Eric did for LHM back in the day.
You can’t access it because the site has been taken down many years ago the only thing you can do is view it as an idea of what I’m going for
It’s a web archive link aka the wayback machine but it’s the actual site but saved on the wayback machine site like the html files metadata it could contain images text and files rarely the audio files URLs were saved but everything else is there this could go for every Website that was taken down and saved on the Internet archive website
And you can also view currently up and running Websites too like Google back in 2000 for example…
That looks a lot better than I what I went with. Self-contained recording and no need for a dedicated computer. I might get one of these for myself! If you end up getting it, let me know how it is.
I will keep you posted! The items did arrive from the eBay seller. One of the cds (sick cycle single) turned out to be signed by Ricky haha. That was not listed in the description so that was a nice surprise. I found out that one of my VCRs stopped working. So onto the next one.
Oh ok, I gotcha. I still wouldn’t mind trying to contributed as much as I can. Not guaranteeing I have anything different than what others on here may have.
As I mentioned before, I came across a seller on eBay who had VHS tapes of some 2001-2002 LH performances. In the process of finding a working VCR (one of mine stopped working apparently) currently. Once I do, I will see if there is anything good on the tapes. There are 5 if I remember correctly. I will rip/convert them and upload for everyone on here if you all want.
I have so many retro things from my childhood. Ranging from consoles to figures to board games lol I loved the 90’s. And Blyss JUST made the 90’s so technically Lifehouse did too.
Would it be possible to do html ftp index through a server host port like server host 448 for example… I’m not sure if using LH media would work as a name but if it works for anyone but that’s up to you shawn?
Soon I’m going to make a finished site edit to my Website mainly about the band train I added a other Live concert Audio section of my site that will list shows already in my hard drive and shows to do list to hunt down + interviews…but it doesn’t contain the audio files actually.
lifehouse related shows will be listed in the other Live audio section.
Standard Stuff
I may edit it more tomorrow and share it in this thread…
For those that get notifications on this thread I finished the new edit of my page for now this site is mainly about the band train but I added this sub page about other artists for now it’s lifehouse until I add another artist.
This list everything we already have so far and will try to add the to do list for the missing shows interviews and miscellaneous stuff later…
No download Links are listed this is a database of lists or readme’s when I get a chance to add them for now it’s just text listing date and venue and state or countries.
I really like the no frills, classic approach you took to this. It genuinely made me feel like I was in the late 90s again, browsing the web. If you see my posts on here, you’ll know how stuck in the 90s I can be! lol
I found a copy of Train’s “One and a Half” on Discogs last summer and grabbed it just to hear “Hopeless”. Probably my all time favorite track of theirs.
