I’ve transcribed the rest of the album and put it up on the site. If anything is wrong, let me know!
Some songs I need help with figuring out a couple of lines (Little Ocean, Find Me First).

thanks very much Shawn!
Why doesn’t he ever include the lyrics???
He did for Ode to Silence (at least on the vinyl). Hoping whenever this gets a vinyl release, we’ll have some proper lyrics!
Okay guys… I finally took a look at the official lyrics that came with the “A Likely Story” vinyl, so we can put to rest some of these mysteries.
Chucky Blondin: “… now don’t get me wrong you got the whole world fooled…” (I always thought it was “I don’t get no money” which is wayyyy off…)
Little Ocean: it is in fact “right as rain” but instead of “cause I got you my sweet to stay upbeat” it is actually “I got you my sweetest A and B” (referring to his daughter, Avenly Ocean/Avy O, and his wife, Braeden, I’m assuming)
The part we thought went “turning …(?)” is actually “Tiny Avy O”
At the end when it sounds like he’s saying “baby b” he is singing “baby bean”.
Butterflies and Parachutes: now here is where I was truly surprised. I know this song has been around for a long time, but I guess I always heard the lyrics incorrectly. The second verse begins “she dreams of poppies and those weeds that look like parachutes“. Very interesting!
A Likely Story: we got it mostly correct with this song, except it’s “and the prophets weren’t everything” instead of “want”. Honestly, this song is probably a top five favorite of all of Jason’s career for me. There’s something really special about these lyrics.
Find Me First: it’s “a fallout, an endless intrusion” not “ended this intrusion”.
“Here come the lies again surrounding” is what was left blank on the lyrics page.
SO interesting - thanks @peppermint . I had all the same assumptions as you on these lyrics. B&P is a particularly surprising twist on the way I’ve always thought it was for the last fifteen years… a funny feeling to learn the right way now! And Chucky Blondin too. Totally not what I heard but it makes sense.
I agree with you re: A Likely Story. One of my favourite J tunes, no question about it.
