Busy week and havenā€™t been online until now, but so much happened this week! A Wish-era demo called Goodnight (beautiful, haunting, very nice) was released on the Time Machine, as well as ƘZ stuff. Much excitement!

I prefer Goodnight to Dear Mr Tumnus for sure. Strong Trying vibes for me. Quirky production, very Blyss-era Ron Aniello. This couldā€™ve been a classic Lifehouse song if it was produced differently. Imagine it as a closing song to an albumā€¦

Why are we not getting a new lifehouse album? This is the kind of stuff you do at tge end of music career. Have you guys given up ?

Just an FYI - this isnā€™t an official Lifehouse-run community. The guys donā€™t visit us (that we know of). I replied to your other topic on this as well regarding whatā€™s going on with Lifehouse.

I absolutely loved this one! I could see this being at the end of DLD. I hear some similarities in the notes that make me think of Eighties and an overall atmosphere kind of like Storm.

I also appreciate that he released this and not just a remake (though I am excited to see what he does with this!). His voice and the simplicity of the production on this track just ooze nostalgia for me.

Hereā€™s my take on the lyrics. Hopefully someone can fill in the parts I couldnā€™t figure out:

Another early, full band demo. Really enjoying this one! Definitely feels like it couldā€™ve been an outtake from SCF. My first thought was Empty Space/The Beginning meets Running Away.

Edit: Jason says this is from 2004 and wouldā€™ve been for the yellow record.
